Moises Virelles, MD, FACOG, FPMRS
Board Certified Urogynecologist
Dr. Virelles is a Cuban native who grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. He obtained a BS degree from
Palm Beach Atlantic University and received his medical school training at the
Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico and the
University of Maryland School of Medicine. He specialized in obstetrics and gynecology doing his residency at the
Prince Georges General Hospital in Cheverly, Md.
and Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. His training included externships at Georgetown University Hospital
and
Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Dr. Virelles graduated in the top 1% of his medical school class, received "Best Resident" award twice at
Prince Georges General and was voted "Best Gyn Oncology Resident" at
Georgetown University Hospital. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the
American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) including the sub-specialty of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS).
Dr. Virelles has served as Chairman of the Dept. of OBGYN at
St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fl. as well as Dept. Chairman at
Palms West Hospital, Loxahatchee, Fl. He has served in quality assurance and peer review committees and is member of local, state and national medical associations. (FACOG, AUGS, AAGL, FACS, AIUM, FOGS, PBOBGYN)
Dr. Virelles also served as a clinical instructor teaching pelvic support and incontinence procedures to other physicians.
Dr. Virelles is married and has four children.
Lauren Granados, APRN-BC
Lauren has been practicing nursing since 2009. She is a University of Miami graduate, Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, in Critical Care, as well as Primary Care Medicine for the last six years. She has been practicing at Palm Beach Urogynecology since 2018 to follow in the footsteps of her mentor Dr. Virelles. Her fluency in both Spanish and English allows her to connect with patients from Hispanic communities here in Palm Beach County. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Council of Palm Beach County as well as the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
